During 2014 in all regional structures of the Belarusian Union of Women was held to discuss candidates for the assignment of an honorary title. As a result, regional and Minsk city organizations have identified 35 candidates for the awards in the following categories:

  • For leadership and successful management;
  • For achievements in the education of children;
  • For his contribution to the revival of the village;
  • For contribution to the spiritual and moral revival of the nation;
  • For contribution to the civil and patriotic education of youth.

The winner in the nomination "For successful leadership and management" was the Deputy General Director for Economics of JSC "Volkovysk Meat-Processing Plant" Elena Korozhan, which was awarded a medal and an honorary diploma of the Republican contest "Woman of the Year 2014".

According to the organizers, the main goal of the contest & nbsp; - evaluation of the role of women in contemporary society, its contribution to health, parenting, and the spiritual and moral revival of the nation, socio-economic, humanitarian and cultural development of the country. The main criteria for participation in the contest "Woman of the Year" were significant achievements in professional and social activities, education of children, the contribution to the revival of the village, and the spiritual and moral revival of the nation. By the way, the competition was first held in 2009. And the idea of ​​his organization initiated by the public association "Belarusian Union of Women".

The ceremony was attended by Chairman of the Presidium of the Belarusian Union of Women Nadezhda Ermakova, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Igor Buzovsky, Deputy Prime Minister Natalia Kochanova and other officials, public and political figures, representatives of national authorities, heads of enterprises, organizations and institutions of culture and art.
